The Fontaine, (located at NE Multnomah and 17th AVE) was supposed to be a sharp and modern condominium complex during construction, but due to complications ended up as apartments for several years before converting to condos in the early 70’s. Built in the late 60’s, this 17-story tower has around 100 units in total and offers some of the best views of downtown and Mt. Hood. This building has some groovy design elements that make it retro-contemporary. The HOA allows neither pets nor renters.
